히이모리(Хийморь)는 몽골 문화에서 ‘Wind Horse’를 의미하며, 눈에 보이지 않지만 삶을 밀어 올리는 내적 에너지이자 상승과 전진을 상징하는 힘을 뜻한다. 이는 몽골 정신문화의 중심에 자리한 개념이며, Buyankhishig의 회화 세계를 관통하는 핵심 언어이다.

Buyankhishig Unurbayar is one of the most promising artists representing contemporary Mongolian art. She became the first Mongolian artist to be presented at a Phillips Hong Kong auction, marking a significant recognition within the international art market. Since then, she has expanded her presence through exhibitions in Hong Kong and the United States, building connections with a global collector base and rapidly establishing her presence in recent years.

Khiimori(Хийморь) in Mongolian culture refers to the “Wind Horse,” symbolizing an invisible inner force that lifts life forward and represents energy, vitality, and upward movement. As a central concept within Mongolian spiritual culture, it also serves as a key language that runs throughout Buyankhishig’s painterly practice.

In her work, color becomes an inner language formed through layered material surfaces. Built with oil paint and mixed media, the accumulated layers create a quiet density that holds light and establishes a subtle center within the space. Clouds and mist appear not as direct depictions of nature, but as visual structures suggesting states of being.
